A Summer in DC: 6 Weeks with the Little Sisters of the Poor

In just a couple of weeks I'll be headed out to our Nation's Capital to serve with the Little Sisters of the Poor (lsp). I will be staying at their Jeanne Jugan Residence which is very close to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. This will be both an opportunity to help them in their apostolate, which is serving the elderly poor, as well as a chance to really get a taste of their religious life.

I was thinking of how I would keep those who are interested informed about my goings on there. It seemed easiest to make a blog. :-) If you look at the side panel, there is a place to put in your email address so every time I add a post it will show up in your email. I will also try to update via facebook. Hopefully I'll be posting at least once a week. There is also a pictures tab at the top of the blog, where I'll try to upload pics, although they may just be added into the posts.
